About Hanyu Wang
I am a PhD student in Statistics at the University of St Andrews, supervised by Dr Michail Papathomas and Dr Nicolò Margaritella. My research topic is Detecting prevalent clusters of Multimorbidity with uncertainty evaluation using Bayesian Mixture Modelling and Divide-and-Conquer. My research interests include Bayesian Inference, Cluster Analysis, Distributed Computing, Subsampling Method, Interpretable Machine Learning, Long-term Chronic Disease Prediction in Public Health, and Genetic-based Cancer Research. I am a curious and passionate person who likes to explore new knowledge and techniques and apply them to practical problems. I am also a good communicator and collaborator who enjoys interacting and sharing ideas with people from different fields and backgrounds.
