Innovative Nano coatings incorporate 3 main properties into the same coating. (i) anti-reflection (to minimize the reflection loss), (ii) self-cleaning (to ensure minimum loss of light due to surface adsorption of foreign particles) and (iii) light trapping (to trap the light and direct them towards the active solar panel underneath the coating).These Nano coatings are thermally and chemically stable and bio-compatible. It is a solid phase deposition; no liquid is involved. With coating thickness ~ 400 - 500 Nano Meter, it is invisible to bare eyes. The coating materials are based on inorganic, ceramic & oxide materials which have very high thermal (up to 1000 0C) and chemical stability. These coating materials can stay for more than 12 years.The coating process can be one inherent process step, while the manufacturing of the Solar Panels. However, big chunk of market is existing Solar panels/farms. For these, the solution is the use of special technique to deposit a thin film directly on the already installed panels, in-situ.The coatings will reduce the reflection or improve the transmission of light by ~4% compared to an uncoated surface.Since the Nano film is Hydrophobic and Oleophobic, it will repel any foreign particle and thus makes the cleaning of the panels easier and intermittent cleaning cycle could be 2 to 3 years with just blowing by pressurized air for cleaning. Thereby, eliminates the risk of damage of solar panels by unskilled labor while cleaning the panels
