The Technical Council works with the Students' Council to achieve collaborative excellence by administering technology in NIT-T. We take initiatives for community development and address campus issues by imparting feasible technical solutions. Along with ensuring the smooth functioning of student-run technical clubs, we coordinate with the on-campus centres of excellence such as the ISRO research centre, Siemens Lab, CEDI, IoT lab, and SCIEnT as well as managing open communities such as DSC-NITT and cryptoNITT, to establish a platform for technology to thrive.The Technical Council works under the aegis of Pragyan (the international techno-managerial organization of NIT Trichy) as the "Pragyan Technical Council". The Council's versatile nature has made it possible to aid Pragyan through ideation for technical showcases, the introduction of initiatives, and engagement of the student community. The Technical Council strives towards improving synergy between students, Technical Clubs, Pragyan, and the college administration.

SCIEnT is a multi-disciplinary innovation centre, providing opportunities to students to delve into the ever-expanding world of technology, and discover, hands-on, the incredible scope for innovation that the world offers today. The lab allows students to explore and experiment with technology, without having to deal with the fear and cost of failure. At SCIEnT, students are offered a multitude of tools, machines, consumables and services, and a space in which to work, learn and grow. It is one of the on-campus centres of excellence that takes initiatives for community development and address campus issues by imparting feasible technical solutions.
