As an Analytical Engineering Intern for Geneia, I was responsible for conceptualizing and advancing breakthrough models, leveraging expertise in instituting dynamic programs capable of predicting hospital readmission. In directing the formulation of multifaceted attribution models, I demonstrated my dexterity with a myriad of essential tools, devices, and sophisticated scientific processes. Utilizing my aptitude with algorithms, rapid prototyping, business logic, reproducible code, and server configurations in agile setup, I was successful in putting forth solid results and collaborating with colleagues. Participating in third-party model integration and conducting root cause analysis to identify causes of drug abuse and methods of protection were also central to this position. During my time in this role, I deployed a framework using Python to readily write ETL jobs. I’m also proud of the fact that I developed a hospital readmission program capable of predicting instances of patient readmittance for a 30-day period, as well as creating attribution models for patients that can function on minimal power, resulting in AWS savings of nearly 40%. In addition to these contributions, I was instrumental in initiating SQL stores procedures and Talend to replace SAS, strengthening performance by 50%.
