Harshada is a young enthusiastic urban planner with a strong academic background in infrastructure planning. She holds a master's degree in Infrastructure Management from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT KGP). Her research and profession revolves around infrastructure planning and its socio-economic impact on communities.Having garnered practical experience at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and public consulting at a leading MNC, Harshada currently plays a pivotal role in the PM GatiShakti (a Whole-of Government approach adopted to facilitate integrated planning of multimodal infrastructure through collaboration among the concerned Ministries in India). Her current work at DPIIT is centered on promoting the Area Development Approach, Capacity Building of States and Ministries particularly in the context of significant infrastructure planning (airports, rail corridors, highways, and ports) on the National Master Plan GIS Portal. Her focus lies in comprehending and addressing the economic impacts of these projects, with an emphasis on infrastructure planning for sustainable development.
