Designed and troubleshot manufacturing problems for the pneumatic and mechanical aspects of the shifting mechanism for PBR23 (UMSAE Formula 2022-23 car).Designed car controls including braking, brake balancing, clutch control, throttle control and steering while considering ergonomics, assembling process and tolerance stack-up.Designed the cockpit to enhance comfort and accommodate different drivers.Conducted empirical testing for structurally critical components while aiming for a high stiffness to mass ratio. Examples include a brake pedal.Built and assembled the pedal box, steering mechanism and the shifting mechanism while integrating the systems with the entire vehicle and following safe shop procedures.

Assisted the Section Lead in facilitating the integration of braking components and uprights with the entire vehicle while making manufacturing easier, efficient and cheaper.Performed preliminary calculations regarding thermal analysis of brake rotors and the vehicle dynamics while braking on different terrains.Created parts and assemblies consisting of brake rotors, hubs, clevis, uprights in Solidworks.Assisted in the assembly of the Formula Vehicle while utilizing safe shop procedures.

Designed 3D printed ergonomic jigs, fixtures, and mechanisms to aid the assembly processes while increasing the overall efficiency of the manufacturing process using different joints and machine elements. Examples include a height adjustability jig with three different height levels, a jig to hold, cut and release a panel of printed circuit boards, soldering fixture to solder multiple and different types of components at a time.Updated technical part and assembly drawings in compliance with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Standards (GD&T).Modified electrical enclosures incorporating snap fits in accordance with the injection molding process.Analyzed field failures and manufacturing problems while communicating with different internal departments, suppliers, and customers.
