    Learning Experience
    Nextleap May 2021 - Jul 2023
    Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
First LxD hire - joined in the early phases with an incredible founding team. Designed multiple programs for product managers & software engineers from scratch - the most notable being our flagship program, Product Manager Fellowship. Tried out a lot of new programmatic models, pedagogies and learning constructs - some failed, and some worked. Built and co-led an amazing team, which served over 5000+ learners across 10+ programs. Collaborated with an inspiring bunch of team members, instructors and mentors to build delightful experiences. And most importantly, met my co-founder. :)Key Learnings: Focus on understanding the problem deeply, and don't worry too much about solutions - they will emerge. Product is marketing - distribution should be seamlessly integrated while building the product, and cannot be an afterthought. Run lots of experiments - most will fail, but document the assumptions, process & insights. Being a good manager is mainly just 3 things - genuinely caring, empowering your team, and showing the mirror consistently. Double down on strengths, acknowledge weaknesses and fill those gaps either through hiring or partnerships.
  • Equitech Futures
    Program & Learning
    Equitech Futures Jan 2021 - Aug 2021
Supported the CEO and founding team in developing and executing a strategic plan for the organization and design of their inaugural program, Global Summer Institute. Primarily focused on market research, outreach, recruitment, hiring, and learning experience design.Key learning - Higher education is in a dire need for disruption. With new age fellowships and programs, and a problem-based learning approach, this space is ripe for innovation. Also learnt more about importance of a go-to-market strategy, social media presence, and well-designed digital pedagogy.
  • Indian Institute Of Technology, Bombay
Research & Evaluation - Edtech Lab
Indian Institute Of Technology, Bombay Oct 2020 - Aug 2021
    Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
Evaluated design of various K-12 ed-tech products (eg. Khan Academy, MindSpark etc) using rigorous research-based instruments as part of EdTech Tulna (in collaboration with Central Square Foundation). Wrote detailed reports highlighting key strengths & areas of improvement for those products. Trained governments and internal IITB teams on using the index. Key learning - Content quality, pedagogical alignment, and technology & design - all impact learning in a significant manner. At the heart of all lies 3 things: diagnosing learning gaps effectively, high-quality resources/activities to help address those gaps, and providing a clear pathway & feedback loops to measure progress consistently.
  • Ekstep Foundation
    Consultant
    Ekstep Foundation Jul 2020 - Aug 2020
    Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India
Continuing from my previous stint, took up a short consulting role to co-create and launch new pilots within the state.
  • International Innovation Corps
    Consultant
International Innovation Corps Jul 2019 - Jun 2020
    Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India
One year social impact fellowship by University of Chicago's Harris School of Public Policy. Collaborated with the leadership of the Gujarat Education Department to help set up systems and processes, for large-scale adoption of the central government's learning platform, DIKSHA (www.diksha.gov.in). Designed and implemented various learning programs for government officials, teachers, and students.Key Learning - Magic can happen when samaj (civil society), sarkaar (government), and bazaar (market) come together to achieve a common goal. One interesting mental model I picked up was the 'plus-one' approach, where the focus was changing the default state to a higher state (+1) with minimal investment of effort, where it almost becomes impossible to go back to the default state. Eg. change of state from daily payments using cash to payments through UPI.
  • Teach For India
    Associate, National Alumni Impact
Teach For India May 2018 - May 2019
    Pune, Maharashtra, India
Primary role of the alumni team was to develop programs and platforms for a 2500+ member strong community of Teach for India alums. My interest in community building and peer learning led to me to join this team. Learnt a bunch about building communities, systems thinking, and problem orientation. Supported the team with research, impact reporting, digital community engagement, and knowledge management.Key Learnings - The whole is more than the sum of its parts - great teams are a result of excellent synergies more than individual performers. Learnt a bunch about project management, and importance of operational excellence.
  • Teach For India
    Teaching Fellow
Teach For India Jun 2016 - May 2018
    Pune, Maharashtra, India
Taught Math and Science in an under-resourced government school to an amazing bunch of 100 7th and 8th graders. My favorite two years by a great margin. Experimented with different forms of peer learning, both with children and adults. Organised a fortnightly space for 100+ fellows and alumni to discuss key questions/challenges around education in India. Key Learning - Teaching is one of the most challenging professions out there. Good teachers are both scientists (research + experimentation) and artists (storytelling + creativity). Strong shared experiences are at the core of all meaningful relationships.
