About Harshdeep S.

Current areas and skill set:A programming and mathematics enthusiast. I see myself developing software libraries for analysis software like Dassault, LS-Dyna, Pentagon, etc. in the near future. Prior to that I aim to go to Los alamos national laboratory or Sandia national laboratory for post doctoral experience. Currently I have done some work related to numerical modeling of damage via UEL/UMAT subroutines in Abaqus in composite materials. I have experience in working with open source FEA based software tools like Fenics, Paraview, Gmsh etc. I have also experience in areas like deep neutral networks combined with physics models, a popular approach by the name of Physics informed neural networks. Current skills include programming in various languages like C++, Python, FORTRAN, JavaScript, Java etc. and analysis software like ABAQUS and COMSOL. Transition areas: I am about to transition and focus in areas like High performance computing, Parallel computing and Quantum computing to accelerate the predictions made by numerical methods like FEM, FVM, FDM, FFT etc.Mathematical courses done:I have always been a mathematics nerd . I have done some pure mathematics courses like Fourier analysis in euclidean spaces and Lebesgue measure theory etc. I have an inherent interest in algebraic geometry and topological spaces. Beside that I have done online course from ICTP on topics of PDE, Analysis-II and Differential geometry. I have keen interest in pure mathematics and in future intend to see topics like Algebraic geometry. Gymnastic interests:I have developed interest in ring gymnastic in the course of my PhD. I can do skills like ring muscle up, back lever, front Lever etc. I am working my way up towards the advanced skills like Planche, Maltese, Zanetti and van gelder.Goal in life: To be the best computational mechanics guy I can be in this world and to be a great non-professional gymnast.
