The mission of UW SOCH is to empower the community members of our university environment to recognize and accept mental health as an essential part of their well-being through education, prevention, and building resilience. With the emphasis on mental health stigma in the South Asian community, we look forward to supporting the need for culturally and linguistically appropriate mental health conversations across the university campus.As the Director of Finance and Sponsorship, I manage the financial operations:- monitor the club's bank account and all financial transactions- collect and deposit the club's revenue- submit reimbursements and cheque request forms - research and contact potential sponsors to gain funding - maintain positive relationships with existing sponsors- research and apply for potential grants and funding opportunities

AIESEC is the world's largest youth organization, operating in over 120 countries and territories. We focus on providing youth with a platform to develop their leadership potential, become global citizens, change the world, and get experiences and skills that matter today. We provide an international network and engage youth & like-minded organizations around the globe to act as one.As the VP in Finance Team Lead, I managed various operations:- analyzed the budget - consolidated cash flow ledger and balance sheet- quantified the LC (local chapter) resources - managed profit/losses and cash flow- reported financial data to the executive board (EB) through the monthly financial submissions - researched potential sponsors and grants- promoted events- presented info about the Finance portfolio to members of AIESEC- recruited new members in the Finance portfolioUpon joining, the Finance portfolio was able to achieve the first monthly submission pass in 3 years for the Waterloo chapter.

The Stats Club is dedicated to bringing together the statistics undergraduate community on campus by providing friendly and welcoming environment, as well as supplying resources for the academic pursuit of Statistics.As an Events Executive, I helped with organizing events, which included pitching in ideas for future events, helping recruit speakers for our events and marketing the events through social media platforms.

Marketyze is a federally incorporated not-for-profit corporation that provides marketing opportunities to high school students through free or low-cost virtual challenges and conferences. Our programs are designed to go beyond the Canadian business high school curriculum, directly connecting youth with industry professionals to give them a chance to create valuable connections and provide a unique look into the business and marketing field. As a sponsorship associate, I coordinated various tasks:- developed sponsorship email templates and financial procedures- developed sponsorship packages - formed reimbursement forms and fundraising ideas - contacted and gained sponsors to execute our international event challenges, varying from small businesses to multinational corporations
