Nucleate is a student-led, global nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the next generation of biotech leaders.Roles and Responsibilities:Activator Program Management: Direct all aspects of the Activator Program, from planning to execution, ensuring seamless coordination of workshops and events while regularly evaluating program effectiveness for optimization.Mentor and Expert Recruitment: Lead recruitment initiatives to enlist experienced mentors and subject matter experts, utilizing targeted outreach strategies to attract qualified candidates who align with program objectives.

My research involves exploring and developing non-surgical technologies to deliver drugs to the Brain. By devising innovative strategies, I aim to enhance drug delivery and enable targeted treatments for various brain-related conditions by overcoming the limitations of the Blood-Brain Barrier. The ultimate aim is to find safer, more efficient, and less invasive ways to deliver drugs to the brain while preserving its integrity.

Spring 2022 - Graduate Teaching Assistant for BMEN 1208(Introduction to Bioengineering II)Fall 2022 - Graduate Teaching Assistant for BMEN 1100 and BMEN 1208 (Introduction to Bioengineering I and II)My Roles and Responsibilities included:• Assisting the lead instructor in delivering lectures and lab sessions for BMEN 1100 and 1208.• Grading assignments, quizzes, and exams.• Tutoring and providing one-on-one support for students in understanding course material by holding weekly office hours.• Collaborating with the lead instructor on course planning and assessment.• Preparing and setting up workstations for lab sessions in Solidworks, MATLAB, and Arduino Microcontroller.• Maintaining laboratory safety and ensuring students adhere to laboratory procedures.• Assisting students in performing experiments and conducting demonstrations.

I worked on the project titled "High throughput synthesis of nanoliposomes in microfluidic reactors for efficient delivery of anticancer drugs." sponsored by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Board of Research in Nuclear Science (BRNS).My Roles Included:• Developing a high-throughput synthesis process for nanoliposomes using microfluidic reactors.• Optimize the synthesis process for maximum efficiency and yield of nanoliposomes.• Characterize the nanoliposomes in size, stability, and drug-loading capacity using Doxorubicin.• Evaluating the efficacy of nanoliposomes for delivering anticancer drugs to cancer cells in vitro.• Comparing the efficiency of nanoliposome-based drug delivery with other conventional drug delivery systems.• Determining the toxicity and safety of the nanoliposome-based drug delivery system in vitro.As a secondary research project, I worked on a Synthesis and Characterization of Gram-Scale Calcium Carbonate Nanoparticles for Industrial Application.My Roles Included:• Optimizing the synthesis process to achieve a high yield of high-quality nanoparticles and understanding the nanoparticles' structure, composition, and physical properties to determine their suitability for industrial applications. • Developing a scalable, cost-effective method for producing calcium carbonate nanoparticles for practical use.• Training six undergraduate students on this project and helping them write a review article.

I worked on a project titled "Plasmonic-Luminescent Nanocomposite as a Probe for Dual-Mode Imaging." at Pradeep Research Group-IIT Madras• Synthesized and characterized atomically precise monolayered and protein-protected nanocluster.• Synthesized anisotropic gold and silver nanoparticles (rods, cubes, and triangles).• Fabricated nanocomposite using anisotropic nanoparticle as a core and nanocluster as a shell.• Characterized the nanocomposite using Photo Luminescence Spectroscopy, High-Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy, and 3D-Tomography.
