Harshida Patel, associate Professor, APN, Senior Lecturer. Inst. Of Health Care & Science at Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg.I am passionate about taking care of my patients, students, and my collaborative partners. I would love to continue my contributions to making health care better and more cost-effective.She holds her specialization in Nursing science and currently working as a senior lecturer. She is spec nurse and has more than 30 years of clinical experience working in Cardiac care. She is a President of TOC and a member of regional STTI. She has served as director of the EU event for STTI Nursing organization in Sweden. Harshida has contributed to the several conferences in the Planning and Scientific Committee and chaired SC during an international conference. She has also been involved in organizing various postgraduate conferences with countries; Sweden, England, Wales, Holland, Portugal, Ireland, and Armenia with successful outcomes.Research Harshida´s area of research is heart failure; elderly with chronic heart failure and young mothers, who suffer from heart failure associated with pregnancy and childbirth (Peripartum Cardiomyopathy) and migrants care in European context. She has done projects in collaboration with OH, USA and Makerere University, Kampala. Harshida chairs European Research Task Force with researchers from Sweden, Portugal, Israel, Nederland, and UK. She is a member of Sigma European Regional committeé and Sigma European Regional Taks Force. TeachingHer teaching has a width extending across several areas. Nursing in general and specifically at heart disease and the elderly, health economics, evidence-based care, IPL – simulation, National Clinical Examinations, clinical supervision, and examination of bachelor and masters thesis, course director for the Geriatrics, Internal Medicin and Cardiology at the advanced level. She is also responsible for internationalization at the postgraduate level and coordinates Clinical practice for all the students at the advanced levels programs at the institution.
