I have had profound curiosity in the realm of natural sciences for as long as I can remember. Inadvertently, I focused on these subjects and performed at the top of my ability throughout my education, achieving awards and accolades for demonstrating my understating. My curiosity has only proliferated and pushed me to seek understanding through the specific lenses of Neuroscience. I have worked as a chemical analyst to understand nature of organic molecules and volunteered in both research and hospital labs to understand the workings of such molecules in the context of life. My undergraduate research produced the first developmental modification profile of CRMP2, an essential cytoskeleton-associated protein in hippocampal and cortical neurons. This has now led my ongoing Master's research to uncover the molecular mechanisms of learning and memory. Under the supervision of Dr. Stephen Glasgow, I am now exploring the plasticity induced in synapses after spatial learning in the mouse brain.
