When a young girl Cloe Ando from France visited the beautiful state of Uttarakhand, she went to various villages and on the journey met Harshit Sehdev who was working for the welfare of the people living in the mountains. She was a little sad to see the living conditions of some of the villagers and discussed her worries with Harshit. After brainstorming, Cloe and Harshit came up with the idea of HimShakti Seasoning Salt, which would allow them to simultaneously run a business and help the villagers. HimShakti started with an investment of INR 10,000 in November 2018. This money was utilised to prepare initial samples of the seasoning salt which were sold to two corporates viz. Valley Farms and VKJ Projects Private Limited, the business has been constantly growing since then. The business soon went global and have a presence in France and the USA.Uttarakhand is famous for its flavoured gourmet salt or pisi lyun. The salt mixture contains Himalayan spices and herbs that have multiple health benefits. HimShakti employs villagers at every level, from crushing the salt along with other ingredients on a mortar and pestle, to packaging of their products which also assists the local farmers from where they buy the raw materials. Recently, Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi who is also known as the energy chef of India joined hands with HimShakti to become the Brand Ambassador. A great idea and support for a social cause made HimShakti to be selected as one of top 37 start-ups (amongst 400+ applicants) which were selected for grants and also to be incubated at the prestigious Institute IIM Kashipur under Foundation for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Program, 2019.

"Working in the lines of Swami Vivekanada of "Character building" and "Man Making" education, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Dehradun has initiated Value Education Project through which it reaches out to different schools and institutions to make the students and teachers realize the importance and the ways to realize the vision of an empowered nation. My job involves reaching out to different schools and institutions to conduct workshops/classes on Life Skills/ Value education for students, parents and teachers.
