As an Intern I worked under the R&D Department i.e. CoE (Centre Of Excellence) and the department is responsible for the development of future technologies on four Projects as follows :-Project 1 - Technical Feasibility Evaluation of Conversion of a Diesel Engine into Hydrogen Spark Ignited Engine under which I learnt to design the piston bowls and the camshaft for the hydrogen engine.Project 2 - Selection of the Hardware and Initial Setting of Hydrogen Fueled Engine Using 3D CFD Simulations for Optimum Performance and Emission. The work involved is around to find the optimum setting of the hardware in order to get optimum NOx, dp/d0 and Brake power for the hydrogen engine.Project 3 - Driver Perceived Noise Level (DPNL) and Pass By Noise (PBN) Measurement of the 485 CNG Diesel Dual Fuel Tractor in Comparison with the Baseline Diesel Tractor.Project 4 - Reduction in Cost and Warranty failure by resolving the complaint of Water pump leakage in 1751 Genset Engine. The objective is to reduce the PPM level from 21782 PPM to 0 PPM and the baseline cost from Rs. 10.30 to Rs. 0.
