I am a Communication/Media and Sociology (with Politics) graduate of the University of Liverpool, now employed as an Employer Engagement Officer by the Careers & Employability Service at the University of Liverpool.North-West born and Mid-Wales raised, my formative interests included football, Formula One, film, and music. Student Experience & Finance Administrative Assistant, School Of Dentistry
As a member of the Professional Services team within the School of Dentistry, I undertook a role split between working in areas of Student Experience and Finance. In my role, I was responsible for the administration of the first year of the Bachelor of Dental Surgery programme, providing a wide range of help and advice to students, academics, colleagues, and third-parties, and for working with the School Administrator and Finance Administrator to provide support to the School on financial matters.

I began my third placement on the Graduate Trainee Scheme in November 2015, and am currently working as a Project Coordinator (Employability & Enterprise) within the University's Department of Computer Science. I assisted with the coordination of the 2016 Computing Careers Fair (whereby approximately 25 exhibitors attended in order to discuss graduate opportunities with students) and have taken the lead on coordinating a 'Career Pathways' lecture series within the Department.For my fourth - and current - placement, I am once again working with the Department of Computer Science. My key responsibilities include the coordination and promotion of employability activity for the upcoming academic year (with a particular focus on the 2016 Computing Employability Conference), the promotion of sandwich placements for students within the Department, and the promotion of collaborative Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.
Graduate Trainee
In August 2014, I was recruited to Edge Hill University's 'Graduate Trainee Scheme', a two year professional development scheme (starting November 2014) providing the training, skills, and experience to succeed in a career either within the University or the wider HE sector. Further information on the Scheme can be accessed via: https://www.edgehill.ac.uk/jobs/graduate-trainee-scheme/.The Graduate Trainee Scheme comprises four six-month placement, each offering a range of repsonsibilities and enabling me to take ownership of and project manage specific initivatives. During my first placement, I worked with the Enterprise & Innovation team and the Postgraduate Medical Institute within the Faculty of Health & Social Care. In May 2015, I began my second placement - this time with the University's Careers Centre.I was pleased to assist with the organisation and support of a Staff Charity Quiz Night. Organised in conjunction with Ormskirk Quiz League, the evening was attended by approximately 60 people and raised over £130 for Ormskirk Foodbank.
