We serve the State but operate as elected officials on an Independent basis but under the direction of the State. We report to the Governor. It is an honor.

Firefighters at The Wissahickon Fire Company (WFC) serve and protect the people, property, and environment of Ambler, Lower Gwynedd and the surrounding communities in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. They endure hundreds of hours of classroom education and hands-on skill set training at the Montgomery County Fire Academy (MCFA) Campus in Conshohocken, PA in order to effectively handle and safely address the mulititude of situations and issues they encounter daily. They are all Volunteers, on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year.
