Trained law enforcement Officer. Work for the Governor but serve the Judiciary.It is an exciting and intense job, but I always respected law enforcement and have wanted to be an Officer since I was 5 years old to serve the community and its members well. This position is the oldest law enforcement position in Pennsylvania and is written into our Constitution. We serve the State but operate as elected officials on an Independent basis but under the direction of the State. We report to the Governor. It is an honor.

Firefighters at The Wissahickon Fire Company (WFC) serve and protect the people, property, and environment of Ambler, Lower Gwynedd and the surrounding communities in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. They endure hundreds of hours of classroom education and hands-on skill set training at the Montgomery County Fire Academy (MCFA) Campus in Conshohocken, PA in order to effectively handle and safely address the mulititude of situations and issues they encounter daily. They are all Volunteers, on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year.
