At Just Retirement I was responsible for the implementation and management of Test Automation. Aspects to this included: - Test tool evaluation and framework prototyping across QTP, Coded UI, and Test Partner. - Development of a bespoke framework to facilitate regression testing using QTP. - Framework components consisted of Excel, VBA, Quality Center OTA, QTP, QTP API, XML, TFS Integration, VB.Net tooling. - The creation, training and management of the test automation team who provide automation support to the IT department. - Training and mentoring of test engineers (who were from a manual testing background). - Methodologies encountered include Scrum and Kanban. - Technologies include Microsoft Dynamics CRM (web), Windows Forms .net, JQuery UI and standard web.

I was responsible for the testing of web (.net) B2C applications following both manual and automated approaches using an agile methodology (scrum). I delivered the testing using offshore resources. Key achievements were:- Development of custom tools to analyse and report on individual test iteration results.- Daily team leading of offshore test teams- Analysing and improving the levels of test coverage provided by the automated regression suite- Development and implementation of a new test framework (and associated processes with it), core features included: - hybrid framework combining business scenario and data driven tests - supported multiple locales - detailed log files recorded - manual test steps automatically generated - reusable, documented and well structured code allowing for other team members and those with moderate automation skills to be able to take ownership of the regression suite - strong reporting capabilities using a custom tool that integrates with the xml results uploaded to Quality Center

I worked alongside the UK Testing Leadership team to drive forward test innovations within the business. This involved the following:Process Improvements:- Defining and implementing an environment management process to support 43 database configurations and up to 100 simultaneous UAT projects.- Developing advanced tools to support this process.Automation Assessments:- Analysing portfolios for automation potential.- Defining the automation approach- Identification of problem areas with recommendations on how to overcome them.- Determining automation effort, costs and estimated return on investment- Presentation of findings to a Directorship level

I worked as a Non Functional Test Manager to provide support to the existing NFT team and provide internal stakeholder management. Aspects to this role included:- Management of an Offshore team for the delivery of the Non Functional Testing on the Internet Banking platform.- Issue escalation and resolution - Internal stakeholder management
