As Manager at the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, I served as a bi-partisan and bi-cameral lobbyist working with over 7 Congressional Committees on issues related to the biotechnology industry.Specifically, I advocated for various tax reforms related to the Vaccine Injury Compensation Fund, Orphan Drug Act, and reforming Net Operating Loss regulations for small and emerging companies.Additionally, I focused on financial services issues related to Emerging Growth Companies, proxy advisory reform and capital markets reform.Key Impacts:- Managed a federal policy portfolio covering the federal tax code, financial market regulatory policies, and health care coverage and payment polices - Oversaw the Coalition of Small Business Innovators Coalition with the goal of championing legislation related to small business capital formation- Developed communications related to strategic and political legislative objectives for biotechnology issues such as one-pagers, talking points, and policy papers- Organized and staffed Executive-level meetings with BIO Board Members and Members of Congress in both formal and informal settings- Represented BIO in public, private and professional forums addressing issues regarding the biotechnology industry including Fly-Ins, conventions, fundraisers, and PAC events

• Provided support to Senior Vice President and 9 lobbyists in administrative tasks ranging from scheduling meetings, travel, expense reports, and managing all department consultants while ensuring executed contracts and invoicing• Maintained Executive Government Relations Committee and Government Relations Committee by acting as a liaison between member companies and department staff• Coordinated, edited, and disseminated various government relations updates to member companies• Led PAC management by overseeing monthly FEC reports, solicitations, incentives, and disbursements• Tracked full department budget totaling over $4 million organization-wide
