In the 25 years of my career, my passion has always been about helping people. I started as a bedside nurse for that purpose, and I’ve spent the last 20 years in healthcare technology for that purpose. In that time, my passion for patients expanded to passion for teams and individual development. I’ve spent years learning to bridge the gaps between technology, employee performance, and patient outcomes. As a clinician, informaticist, software developer, IT executive, or other hats I’ve worn, I’ve found that they all share one common thread for success; people make things successful and therefore you must put people first.I’ve had the privilege of working on many large and complex technology centered initiatives for health systems. Developing custom software solutions, building informatics and analytics departments, creating data governance models, implementing $100 million software systems, and developing a science around IT success through use of agile principles.
