My role was devised to build a Social Media sector within Bastion Effect, creating new product sets for existing clients and new business opportunities. My role included the following:* Manage new business opportunities for the Social Media sector, creating strategic solutions to provide ROI for the client* Attend pitch presentations and scope SOW* Attend weekly sales meetings with the group CEO with set upsell targets* I completed two full Social Listening Audits for the Travel and Property sectors* Resource and manage a specialist team across content production, community management, social intelligence and analytics, and social strategy * Negotiate and manage organic social influencer partnerships with aligned brands, such as Indie Australian band Alpine and Australian festival boot Blundstone* Provide perfect client communication across my portfolio with on time information, solutions to problems and reassuring guidance

I was hired to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and networks users for brands such as BWS (Woolworths liquor store), Disney, Bob Jane T-Marts and Monash University. I achieved superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap. My role included the following:* Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification* Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action* Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content* Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community* Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules* Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information* Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
