As part of the HSE Unit supporting operations, we collectively improved overall HSE performance, reduced serious incidents and injuries for rig crews of 50 drilling and workover rigs. Improvement strategies included frequent site visits, constructive conversations with site supervision with emphasis on safety leadership, supervisors’ roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities as it relates to providing a safe operation. Held open and honest conversations with rig crews from roustabouts to drillers, regarding the importance and their personal responsibilities for working safe and returning home to their families. The existing Shah Deniz facilities’ production capacity is currently 32.0 million standard cubic meters of gas per day or around 10.9bcma. Shah Deniz has been and still is BP’s largest discovery since Prudhoe Bay and is one of the world’s largest gas-condensate fields. Newly created position for RQA International Thailand operations to better serve and support Chevron’s Drilling & Completion offshore operations. As needed provide professional 28/28 HSE support personnel i.e., HSE Specialist and Auditors. Reported directly to the RQA Executive Vice President, I was able to build a strong alliance with the client and bridge communications between Thailand and home office. Responsibilities were to manage all aspects of the business in Thailand, provide high-level safety performance for onshore operations, and provide a single point of contact for Chevron’s Drilling and Completions Management Team. Immediately improved upon existing systems and processes with primary focus on time delivery of all HSE related matters and bridged all delay gaps for processing personnel and timesheets. Improved invoicing inefficiencies, as well relieve unnecessary burden from Chevron by managing all in country logistics, i.e., work permits/visa’s, transportation, hotel, flights, T-BOSIET training, new hire induction and OGUK medicals. Special care and attention to meet and exceed customer’s expectations, continuously improve “on time delivery”, growth objectives, and operational efficiencies for both Rig QA and the client. Periodic visits to offshore operations primarily for new hire orientation. Forecast and prepared budget for Thailand operations. Due to my relationship with the client’s completion team, I was able to grow Rig QA presence considerably when the 500K Rig less P&A unit was delivered to the Gulf of Thailand. At Chevron’s request I frequently traveled to Vietnam to inspect and provided detailed HAZID reports during the construction phase of a 500K P&A unit being built, managed, and operated by EMAS, and delivered the same to the Gulf of Thailand. Intimately involved in the safe start-up of P&A unit.

At the request of Chevron, I acted as third party HSE auditor with multiple visits to Vietnam during the construction phase with focus on safety design of a one of a kind 500K Rig less P&A unit. One 25km twenty-inch FWS, and one 20-inch PWI offshore pipelines.
