Prepared quotations for incinerators, flare stacks, and detonation arrestors by offering the most effective combustion appliance, ignition and control solution for the application. Managed the fabrication of combustion equipment. Developed Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), general arrangement drawings, and shop fabrication drawings. • Packaged incinerator and controls on a skid, reducing field installation cost by 50%. The instrumentation, controls, piping and incinerator were assembled, installed, and tested in Tornado’s shop prior to shipping to the field.

Provided project management for micro turbine power generation project with gas compression, overseeing and managing all phases of the project from conception to completion. Analyzed project specifications, including resource and budgetary provisions to accurately develop and deliver contract bid proposals to vendors. Developed and implemented detailed engineering designs, including plot plan, line list, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and P&ID updates. • Saved client $100M+ by identifying sulphur deposition problem in micro turbine process. By early detection, the process parameters were changed to correct problem and avoid replacement costs and unnecessary sulphur treatment equipment purchases.

Provided project management and engineering for several Amine plant process skids valued between $4-$20M. Interfaced with clients to complete deliverables per the project scope. Interacted with department managers to implement spec deviations, and change management requests. Executed projects by preparing P&IDs, datasheets, equipment lists, instruments lists, line lists, and project documentation manual. Worked closely with procurement department to order long lead items, manual valves and instrumentation. Provided support to junior project engineers.• Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, Lancaster 200 MMSCFD Amine Plant – Saved 10% on budget by streamlining project. Used a ‘lessons learned’ list from a past project with client to make changes proactively so past problems did not re-occur. • Created Equipment Tracking System to easily locate ship loose equipment in the field. This system identified crate number, tracking number and item which enabled field personnel to locate equipment items quickly in the field.

Managed three FEED study projects for Alliance Pipeline Limited Partnership. Projects included Fuel Gas Conditioning Skid project, Condensate Removal and Stabilization project and 100 MMSCFD Ethane Extraction plant project. Interfaced with client to complete deliverables per project scope, and schedule. • Worked with process engineering to reduce capital cost by 10% on Fuel Gas Conditioning skid. This was achieved by working with process engineering to optimize process and reducing equipment requirement.• Captured +$50,000 cost savings by implementing company process software for Ethane Extraction process. The company proprietary software was fine tuned to more accurately simulate process and thereby reduce equipment costs.

Part of project management team providing management services for 8400 bopd Husky Oil Operations SAGD project valued at $220 Million. Responsible for the review and implementation of project specifications, completion of engineering action Items, weekly progress reports, management of change (MOC) requests, spec deviations requests. Provided support to junior project engineers.• Reduced turnaround time to process MOCs by 50% by identifying specific individuals required to approve documents. Depending on the type of change required, a reduction of people needed to sign documents was made.

Provided project engineering and management support for 27.7 Tonnes/Day Suncor Sulphur Recovery Unit valued at $150 MIllion. Role involved maintaining action items list and addressing issues in a timely fashion. Also provided project engineering support for combustion related equipment. • Created and streamlined Action Item tracking system which tracked action item remedies, approvals, and background information. This provided a historical reference that could be accessed easily.

Prepared quotations and design for incinerators, flare systems, KO drum packages, flame/detonation arrestors, freeze protection equipment, and tank vent systems. Worked effectively with clients and colleagues to provide best design and control solutions for various equipment applications. Managed the fabrication of incinerators and flares. Developed P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, and shop fabrication drawings. • Increased company sales by $3 million dollars annually through Calgary office. As part of a two man satellite office which was opened in Calgary in 2000. The client base was increased significantly through marketing and exceptional customer service.• Member of task force commissioned to update AER (Alberta Energy Regulator) Directive 60 – This directive is titled Upstream Petroleum Industry Flaring, Incinerating, and Venting. The task force consisted of vendors and AER members mandated to update the Directive to include enclosed ground flares, and to tighten up flaring and incinerator regulations.• Reduced cost of incinerator controls by 10% by utilizing new temperature controller that came on the market. The original temperature controller was more expensive because it had far more features that weren’t being utilized. By changing controllers with new technology but fewer features, the control cost was reduced.
