I have found my vocation and it is rooted in discovering the idea that through simply manipulating data in a machine that it could shape the world around me. From the basics of programmable scientific calculators and early PDA's at school, right through to creating and using machines and tools at university with PC's - technology fascinated me all the way through life.My passion for what I do stemmed from my ability not just to understand and apply different aspects of technology that I picked up and personally benefited from, but from my joy of breaking these concepts down in a way that could be explained to those that wanted to use these technologies without the hassle of knowing how it all worked. It was with this realisation that a path for my vocation was set on the support side of technology.Whether it is discovering something new that others have developed, or implementing something myself that fixes a problem or creates a solution, I have an appreciation for technology being at the heart of a constantly evolving world. By definition this does not lend itself to the inflexible, so it is key for anyone in this industry to proactively look for ways to adapt technology to meet the needs of the planet. Now being a father of 2, my outlook on life has changed even more, looking less inward for my future and more outward for the future of my children. As such as I am adept at conceptualising and delivering solutions that align with both complex and unique objectives that are future-facing. I have garnered this mindset to emerge as a strategic thinker capable of adapting and adopting cutting-edge tools and assets to bolster service delivery and sustainability.
