Sr. Distribution Center Manager
Current• Manage the daily operations of three Memphis Distribution Center Facilities within Memphis area.• Set expectations, train, and develop leaders to maintain an onsite high performing team.• Ensure quality, timeliness and internal and external customer needs are met.• Manage staff, assign work, monitor activities, evaluate performance, and manage escalated/critical issues. • Provide coaching and guidance to staff and promote staff training and development.• Manage 3PL operations relationship, monitor activities, evaluate performance, ensure quality, and drive continuous improvement.• Support and/or responsible for the development and management of departmental budgets, policies, and procedures.• Responsible for maintaining high inventory accuracy, and continually improving distribution and/or warehousing accuracy.• Maintain operational compliance with quality organizations and regulators including ISO 9002, USDA, and FDA.• Ensure facilities capacity supports business growth and day to day operations and ensure that the design and layout of existing or new facilities support and improve productivity, safety, and ergonomics. • Support/create/responsible for short- and long-term distribution strategies.• Partner with the Transportation Department and other distribution facilities to identify opportunities for logistics cost reductions and to combine and set short- and long-term distribution strategies.• Interface with state and local agencies for compliance of local incentive programs.
