As editor:* Edited all customer documentation and courseware for grammar and punctuation, readability, and standards compliance and performed high-level quality checks immediately before release. Work performed on PDFs or actual DITA/XML, FrameMaker, or other source files. * Chaired Standards Committee to develop and implement new processes, guidelines, rules, and best practices for working in FrameMaker and later DITA/XML.* Maintained style guide initially in FrameMaker and later as an HTML Web site using Dreamweaver and then Oxygen XML Author. * Managed and sometimes wrote department work instructions (task-oriented procedures) in Microsoft Word format. * Worked with Quality group to ensure that all internal processes, standards, and documentation were TL9000-compliant.* Occasionally assisted (usually as editor) employees outside the department with reports, white papers, and other special projects.As technical writer: * Maintained and processed rebranded customer documentation for five different partner products. Documentation source files were DITA/XML. * Created Femtocell user guide from translated source material from Fujitsu Japan.* Served as backup for performing final production and post-production tasks, whereby final PDF documentation was created from DITA/XML source files and posted online.* Created special style guide and templates as proof of concept for setting up documentation group for customers. * Received recognition award for managing several tight deadlines across different products.
