In my role as Sustainability Manager, I drove forward progress against Hyatt's environmental sustainability goals by:• Leading the publishing of Hyatt's annual CDP, Corporate Responsibility and GRI reports, including internal stakeholder interviews, data analysis, drafting content and coordinating with an external design agency• Managing Hyatt’s global environmental database, which is used by over 950 hotels around the world to track energy & water use, carbon emissions, waste and recycling, sustainable seafood purchasing, and more• Contributing to the development of Hyatt’s post-2020 sustainability goals through data analysis, competitor research and benchmarking, collaboration with external consultants, and collecting internal feedback• Partnering with the global events and culinary teams to implement sustainability strategy at meetings and events• Supporting Hyatt’s global sales teams in responding to RFPs and client requests for sustainability information• Performing ongoing research to identify sustainable alternatives for a wide range of consumable products• Aiding in development of Hyatt’s renewable energy strategy, including evaluation of VPPs and other mechanisms• Update content of internal communication platforms including intranet, newsletters and social networking site

• Wrote over 250 pages of environmental content for the Chicago Green Office Challenge website• Researched relevant environmental news & information to educate the 1,000+ people playing the challenge• Created several documents, using Microsoft excel, for the purposes of: tracking office recycling and waste, estimating carbon emissions based on employee commuting methods, estimating office water usage, determining where offices could reduce paper waste, and estimating office unit electricity consumption for master-metered buildings. These documents were made available to all Chicago Green Office Challenge participants• Collaborated with a team of 5 colleagues planning networking and recruitment events in order to expand the challenge and draw more interest throughout Chicago• Represented Delta and the Challenge at local networking, marketing, recruiting and training events

• Managed social media for this small non-profit environmental advocacy organization. During my time with Go Green Wilmette we increased our Facebook following by ~33%• Used Microsoft Excel to organize communication with over 95 sponsors and exhibitors for our annual environmental fair, Going Green Matters• Acted as the exhibitor point person on the day of Going Green Matters, coordinating set up, answering question, and problem solving throughout the day• Coordinated with 11 other board members to promote business recycling and composting in Wilmette

• Cycled 4,500 miles across the U.S. to raise money and awareness in the fight against cancer• Raised $4,935 personally for cancer research and patient support services• Spent 9 months preparing, fundraising and training for the cross-country ride• Assisted the ride leader in maintaining the structure of the ride and resolving any conflicts and logistical problems that arose
