With over thirty five years as a CPA and advisor, I am able to bring clients both their technical answers and the real-world solutions that only come with experience. I have worked extensively with healthcare clients, primarily on the physician provider side. My clients also include small closely held business in the service and real estate industries. A common thread is bringing together business solutions that are sensitive to the individual owner’s personal and tax needs. Taking a hands-on approach, I guide clients in areas that include improving operations, structuring partnership agreements, and designing succession plans.“Giving back” is important, and over the years I have been privileged to lead the NYSSCPA’s Healthcare committee and the Nassau County Chapter’s Medical and Other Professionals Committee; in addition I was the chair person for two years for the NYSSCPA’s annual Healthcare conference, a statewide event with over ninety attendees. As an avid writer and speaker, I have enjoyed many opportunities from the both the page and podium to share my tax and financial experience. In 1998 after having had my own accounting firm for many years, I merged my practice into Berdon, a top 30 CPA and advisory firm. My only regret was not having done this many years earlier. The rich knowledge I can supply to my clients, whether complex tax strategies, state and local or foreign tax issues, or estate and wealth planning, is unparalleled both in scope and depth.
