I’m a strategic business leader, with extensive experience in the international lubricants and chemical sectors, providing BU P&L ownership with effective marketing, operations, client management and business development.I have a broad, change-oriented skillset, with expertise in restructuring, turnarounds and creative innovation, with the ability to design and execute profitable commercial strategies that penetrate competitive lubricants markets.Since joining Afton Chemical in 2009, I’ve headed a series of successful business units and initiatives, including leading a transformation and growth of the Engine Oils Additives business and revitalising team performance through new standards of marketing best practice.Promoted to Global Strategic Account Director in 2018, I played a leading client-focused role in the development of a top 10 Global Oil Company. Other highlights involved promotion through technical roles at Mobil Oil in the UK, owning P&L planning management of several hundred million for an ExxonMobil lubricants division in Belgium and establishing robust organisational structure for a large-scale technical division at BP in Germany.Most of my achievements so far have come from getting the best from people; I’ve learnt how to promote cohesive, collaborative working environments through a flexible, positive and tenacious approach, with a clear focus on optimal final outcomes.
