Setup a suite of tests, including automated UI testing, random testing, integration testing and traditional unit tests.Developed firmware for our custom FET communications hardware in C# 4 using the Mono compiler, running on embedded Debian Linux (Broadcom ARM SoC microcontroller). This firmware features a custom TCP/IP-based client/server network protocol. Other embedded work includes developing custom 32-bit microcontroller firmware in C using Texas Instrument's Code Composer Studio (TI C2000-Series µC).Developed an algorithm for improving the communications speed (over 12 km of cable) between the FET tool downhole and the uphole equipment. The algorithm was simulated using a C# 4 mainline and made use of an open source C++ FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) library. The algorithm delivered a sixfold increase in communication speed after it was implemented by the electronics team on an Actel FPGA. Show less

Compac Marketing is a corporate signage and screen printing company based in Joondalup. My task was to develop custom in-house accounting software that replaced manual paper based forms and workflows. The application was written using Borland Pascal, targeting MS-DOS 6, and used file system data storage (comma delimited files). I was also involved in importing data into the new application and training the Compac admin staff in the operation of the new application.
