The mutual integrity, care, and consideration essential to successful familial connections should also extend in an appropriate manner to our business relationships. To me profit by itself is insufficient for a successful career. This is my story and I’m sticking to it.I am proud to be a Serial Entrepreneur. I enjoy transforming a vision into a vibrant, successful commercial enterprise. When I create a new start-up, I feel like a father introducing a new life into this world.I have been extremely fortunate to exercise my life-long passion for learning in my business career. I accomplished this by learning many different industries and solving their problems with the appropriate software products and services.My first venture was Software Architects, a consulting firm founded to assist the IT organizations in Fortune 1000 companies. One innovative strategy involved hiring new computer science graduates. They were trained at the few universities that used the commercial software products run in industry. Along with a talented partner, Mike Alsip, we founded and ran Client/Server Inc., a Value Added Reseller to the Fortune 1000 market. The software vendors that we represented specialized in client/server products.We then shifted our energies to the Healthcare industry by developing and selling two products to address Managed Care for the Hospital market. One product, Outcomes Tracker, tracked the clinical outcomes for each patient and their associated financial costs. The second product, Cardiac Analyzer, tracked the clinical and financial outcomes for the Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery market. Cardiac Analyzer was the first product to determine that drug coated stents provided no better outcomes than untreated ones. However, we did not publicize this. I then retired. I escaped retirement to become Vice President of Sales at Praemium Technology Consulting.Specialties: Initiate and manage Start-ups Software product sales and IT consulting services salesI bootstrapped sales as the initial Sales Rep at each of my ventures

RetiredRetired Mar 2009 - Oct 2013RetiredI retired in 2009 and began to write a creative non-fiction book. I spent two years writing this book.Unfortunately I learned that creative non-fiction books must have drama and dramatic hooks. I was told this only when I received all my rejection notices from literary agents. I don’t think the manuscript will ever see sunlight or even a dim bulb.I then decided to write plays. Again, I completed the scripts of two plays, and only then decided I ought to take a class on playwriting. Again my motivation surpassed any clear thinking about the correct sequence for this process. Next, I took a class at Chicago Dramatists and joined the Network Playwright group. I have had my first play critiqued by four playwrights. I have just completed my umpteenth revision. I hope to live long enough to see it performed, even if the audience is only me and someone who stumbled into the theater mistaking it for a séance.
