Reduction in yearly losses by 54% by identifying issues and implementing preventative maintenance & ‘Condition Monitoring Systems’ resulting in increased revenues from lessons learned from SWPCL 52.8 MW Wind Farm.4. Developing in-house E-tap model and curtailment simulator to identify bottlenecks and weak links in NTDC as well as HESCO grid systems (directly/indirectly affecting WPPs). Pursuing cases with relative entities and engaging at relative forums to resolve grid issues.5. Value addition during selection of manufacturers for wind farm’s equipment and substation (BoP) equipment considering quality, reliability and cost effective product.3. Review of design documents, technical queries and drawings of plant equipment & layout based on site surveys, standard manuals and IEC/IEEE standards.4. Coordination with EPC contractor, lender’s engineer, consultants and other third parties throughout design & execution phase of project.5. Development of installation procedures, quality inspection plans, checklists, standard work instruction, testing procedures and other relevant documents before commencement of project works along with EPC contractor.6. Inspecting the ongoing site works as per project schedule & agreed quality protocols.7. Review of design documents for 33KV/132KV underground/overhead transmission system and supervision of erection and line energization works.8. Coordinating and working with other team members/resources to ensure effective execution of buildings electrical works, WTGs and substation installation works.9. Supervising EPC contractor for installation of WTGs & BOP with proper planning, maintaining the pace utilizing workforce effectively. Completed erection of 87 wind tower turbines in a record 5 months, and achieved CODs of 3 projects 2 months ahead of plan (3 x 49.735 MW).

The duties as the Secretary included:1. Notify IEEE Headquarters of the names of newly elected Officers immediately upon election. Since all of the supplies and mailing from Headquarters go to the counselor or Chair, it is imperative that correct names and addresses be available to prevent delay in delivery. Report officers online at official portal.2. Keep detailed records of each Branch meeting in order to complete the Annual Report each year. Although it is not necessary to send individual meeting reports to IEEE Headquarters, these records greatly aid in proper preparation of the Annual Report at the end of the year.3. Maintain supplies as required by the Branch. Many of these supplies, when properly utilized, can greatly aid in effective recruitment of new members and retention of existing members. Both efforts are equally important.4. Carry out the necessary communications of the Branch and serve as custodian of all records of the Branch, including all e-mail and correspondence. The Branch membership roster and committee assignments list should be kept by the Secretary. At the end of your term, you should arrange for the orderly transfer of all records to the incoming Secretary.5. Maintain and update a Student Branch Web site.6. Ascertain that Branch activities are conducted under the provisions of the current BranchConstitution and Bylaws.7. Record the full names and addresses of all speakers and their respective companies, as well as titles and sources of films. Sending a short note of appreciation to speakers and to special guests.

As an intern in marketing power division, I worked in team of 6 members. I made an understanding of new market products developed by PEL power division power like smart transformers and automatic energy meters (GPRS Energy meters, Infrared Energy meters etc.) developed by PEL and how to convince customers about newly developed technology. In addition to that importance of tender making and customer satisfaction was understood.

Sapphire is one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of textile products in Pakistan. In addition to that Sapphire is an Independent Power Producer (IPP). In my 4 weeks internship, I worked at Sapphire's 232MW Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) which was operated on diesel and natural gas. I studied the installment and control system of power plant, and had a detailed know how of PLCs. In addition to that a brief study of operation and maintenance of generating units was made.

Often the final approval of a project will depend on the finances available, so it is imperative that all records be kept up-to-date and as accurate as possible. The duties of the treasurer included:1. Deposit all monies received in the name of the Branch in an appropriate depository authorized bythe Executive Committee and maintain an exact accounting of all receipts and expenditures.2. Prepare a budget at the start of the year and an end-of-the-year Financial Statement for the BranchExecutive Committee and Counselor. The Financial Statement is submitted with the Annual Report to IEEE each year.3. Receiving and depositing the annual rebate check from Headquarters.
