Oversee the electrical design and estimation processes.

Lead the electrical design within the multi-discipline team to ensure that deliverables are submitted on time and to budget.Perform design reviews to identify and mitigate errors, reduce financial risk during construction, and ensure that customer expectations are met.Manage the delivery of the design of the various projects by verifying consistency with the design criteria and required standards.Regularly interact with the client to share and understand the on-going design and submittals issues, and to lead technical clarifications.Interface with project management, production, and quantity control to coordinate the implementation of designs.Facilitate brainstorming sessions with the team to gather innovative approaches and optimize the design.Handle tight deadlines and foster positive working relationships with vendors, clients, and teammates.Provide technical assistance in complying with highly specified projects.Support the estimation team in reading detailed wiring diagrams.Attend kick-off meetings in the PO awarding stage.Act as the estimation manager in the absence of the estimation head.Define the design bill of materials (BOM) and manage the collection of quotations.Identify potential suppliers based on project requirements.Negotiate prices, terms, and lead times with suppliers to obtain the best offers.Introduce new suppliers to the company.Attend global and local energy exhibitions to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and products.Select suppliers and manage the issuance of purchase orders (POs).Assign forwarders and manage the shipping process.
