My experience includes the ability to estimate heat trace projects for clients in the O&G, Petrochemical, Health, and other industries across the United States. My responsibilities include reviewing project scope documents, reading detailed specifications, conducting quantity takeoffs from P&IDs and isometrics, designing a heat trace system, and collaborating with key decision makers internally to develop an estimate that would satisfy and exceed the client's needs. My time in the industry has taught me so much already! I was able to improve my technical skills by significantly improving in Excel, learning how to use Navis Works, learning how to code SQL queries, and improving my technical writing abilities. Collectively, the development of these skills helped me to become a more effective estimator. In addition, I was able to improve on my soft skills by learning to outreach effectively to various departments internally to get help from those with significant experience within the industry.
