As a Projects Officer for the Border Force at the National Operational Headquarters, I have led and contributed to a range of projects aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness and compliance. My key achievements include:● Operational Innovation: Introducing an automated system that reduced administrative time by 400%, a significant step towards the Border Force 2025 digital transformation strategy.● Strategic preparations and Compliance: Orchestrated preparations for significant operational reviews and inspections, ensuring our processes meet the highest standards of readiness and compliance.● Process improvement and Team development: Drove initiatives to improve operational processes and the digitisation of custody records, contributing to a more efficient and supportive work environment.

● ​Assisting with the passage of primary and/or secondary legislation. ● Contributing policy views and advice to, and providing oversight of, specific aspects of the NewPlan for Immigration programme. ● Providing support to the Employment Tribunals Ministerial Taskforce, and taking forward specificelements of the Employment Tribunals recovery plan. ● Developing and maintaining a strong positive working relationship with HMCTS, ensuring that theappropriate links are made at a senior level and there is the necessary policy input on operationalprojects, recovery planning and the overall reform programme. ● Developing, promoting  and maintaining methods of business planning and prioritisation systemsfor the Administrative Justice Policy Team. ● Developing policy contributions to formal corporate business, including for example, contributionsto briefings for parliamentary inquiries, briefing Ministers and senior officials as appropriate, anddrafting formal responses to Slect Committee reports. ● Keeping abreast of wider developments and the political context and ensuring that these arereflected in policy proposals

● Assisted the Ministry of Justice on the HMCTS Reform Programme aiming to deliver a modern justice system using new technologies and ways of working.● Undertook risk assessments regularly in order to plan effectively and re-forecast deadlines where necessary, including ensuring that tasks were logically sequenced and interdependency between tasks was clearly understood.● Assisted the Finance Department to improve the change control tracker and develop relationships with various planners within the programmes to record planning ‘best practices’ for incorporation into the Planning Handbook.● Shadowed the Permanent Secretary and observed her daily responsibilities.● Chaired weekly team meetings to discuss any issues and challenges and reported to the Head of Planning and Performance.● Reviewed and updated key documents such as the Master Projects List regularly to ensure information was current and presented effectively.● Actively sought to establish and maintain productive relationships with various members of different departments at the Ministry of Justice.● Updated the team plan on a regular basis to ensure tasks were prioritised and completed on the basis of urgency and importance.
