Assigned as a consultant to the “National Assembly Speaker’s Special Committee of Parliamentarians on Agricultural Reforms”, on behalf of IFAD and was based in Islamabad during the period of deployment. I was part of a high-profile team including directors of various regulatory bodies, Parliamentarians, Consulting firms, IFAD’s specialist, World Bank’s advisors and Policy makers from diverse backgrounds. We compiled information, feedbacks, data, and suggestions from stakeholders regarding different types of reforms which could be implemented by the Government of Pakistan, resulting in increase in production of crops and employment opportunities for non-landowner Farmers.

Seconded to Al Khobar Office, Saudi Arabia as an ACR executive. Our team was responsible for declaration and Transfer Pricing certification of Zakat & Tax Clients. I also was the coordinator for the Firm's Partner, giving him daily updates regarding the client list, team performances and deadlines during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Like all other sectors, we as a team were faced with a difficult task of handling highly sensitive information during WFH and had to navigate and create controls to ensure that the quality and delivery of our assignments were not affected.

During my tenure in Grant Thornton, I performed risk assessments required for drafting annual audit plans and planning individual audit areas. I also assisted my teams in preparing risk-based audit programs specific to each audit engagement and partook in staff training & development, liaison with client's management and making quarterly presentation to board audit committees.During the period, I also made reports regarding the outlook of Pakistan Export Trade Potential, an overview of Pakistan’s Bank performances and an analysis of Audit Firms operating in Pakistan.
