BioMasdar is first-of-its-kind integrated natural product processing facility that is going to cater to needs of Food, Pharmaceutical and FMCG industry. Some of the products shall be Oleoresins, Extracts, Concentrates, Seasonings, Flavors, Spice blends, marinates, Spray dried powder, dehydrated natural products, Essential oils, Pastes & Spreads & Fried Products. BPL shall come into operation by end of first quarter 2025.

iNergeTech Technologies focuses on application of data analytics with emphasis on financial services industry in areas of credit analysis, portfolio review, default predictions & IFRS 9. Services are offered in Australia at present with plans to offer full range of services in Pakistan.

As Chairman of Board Audit Committee I am responsible for review of the financial statements before they are presented to the Board for approval. Additionally, review of the Internal control, Regulatory Compliance and advice to the Board on these and allied issues

Continued as Advisor to the Bank for six months as part of the transition.

As the founder CEO of the Bank, I was responsible for doing the business plan, obtaining banking license, private placement, recruitment of the management team and listing the Bank on the Karachi Stock Exchange. BIPLs pubic offering was the most successful listing in 2006. BIPL employs about 4000+ staff spread over 330 branches in 114+ cities in Pakistan. In May 2015 SBP merged the defunct KASB Bank into BIPL by way of a regulatory order. In a short period of one year, not only a complete systems integration was achieved but also entire 104 branches were converted as Islamic in addition to relocating as many as 54 of them. During this period, also successfully handled one of the worst runs on a bank (lost more than half of the deposits) with out returning a single cheque. Stepped down to pursue other interests and opportunities.

Chief Executive of the National Council of the Institute. ICMAP is a member body of the International Federations of Accountants (IFAC). During my three years tenure I introduced reforms in the examination process, revised the charter after 45 years and turned around a loss making Institute into a profitable Institution. Other major achievements were introduction of intake after High School, entering into a strategic alliance with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK and syllabus reforms. Won election in 2005 and 2008 by securing highest votes.

Worked as Chief Investment Officer responsible for managing funds in excess of US $ 300M. NIT was the best performing funds in these years posting consistently double digit returns. Also represented NIT on the Boards of some of the largest companies in Pakistan i.e. Fauji Fertilizer, National Refinery, Pakistan Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation (PICIC) and KSB Pumps etc.

Group Head for Corporate and Consumer Business. Initiating corporate banking business, managing existing ones, product development both on the asset and the liability side. Developed the first Student Finance facility on the asset side and also launched the first advance profit payment scheme ('gulf Fauri Munafa'). Was also a member of the Committee on Islamic Instruments in State Bank of Pakistan. The Committee's work laid down the foundations of Islamic banking policy that came in 2003. Gulf Commercial Bank was acquired PICIC in 2001 which in turn got acquired by NIB Bank.

Responsible for Advisory, Project Finance and Capital Market activities of the Bank. Advised on M&A (Acquisition of Standard Chartered Mercantile Leasing by SaudiPak & Marine Group, planned entry of Dunkin Donuts in Pakistan, Acquisition of OTC Product portfolio by Reckitt & Colman etc.), Issue of first floating rate by Saudi Pak and other similar transactions.

Had overall responsibility of Project Costing, Personnel and Administration functions.
