I am a civil engineer by profession and hold a bachelors degree in Civil engineering. I have Fifteen years of experience in estimation & costing as an Estimator and Quantity Surveyor and have worked on wide range of infrastructure projects. Majority of my experience is gained working on projects from public and private agencies in Middle East and Australia.My major role is to liaise with private consultants and government agencies to manage tenders and contract documents which includes bill of quantities, undertaking costs analysis, assisting in establishing a client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies, performing risk and value management and cost control, preparing and analysing costing for tenders.Apart from working as senior Estimator/Quantity Surveyor, my arch responsible includes advising on resource management, valuing completed work and arranging payments, maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use, training & mentoring junior staffs. Work out the anticipated quantities of all items required to complete the allocated project. All correspondences and meetings with various suppliers and sub-contractors. Preparing the sub-contractors agreements. Monitoring the drawings updating and highlight discrepancies in the drawings and raise request for information to the clients or designers. Maintain records of all architects instructions/change orders and work out financial & time implication of all variations.I am proficient in using engineering tools for estimating such as Planswift & Buildsoft. I have appreciation of health and safety regulation and risk management.
