The FTTH Council Asia-Pacific is a non-profit organization established in 2005 in Singapore. FTTH Council Asia Pacific members represent all areas of broadband industries, including telecommunications, computing, networking, system integration, engineering and content-provider companies, as well as traditional telecommunications service providers, utilities and municipalities. My responsibilities include:  Reporting to the Board of Directors of FTTH Council Asia Pacific.  Coordinate between BoD, Committees and Council members. Implement decisions made by BoD, General Meetings and Annual General Meeting. Arranging & Coordinating Annual Conference, Workshops, Seminars, Exhibitions. Assisting in budget planning and financial reporting. Overseeing content, production and distribution of all marketing materials. Manage press development.

As Country Representative of LS Cable & System, Telecom & FTTx business in Bangladesh, I was the assigned by LS Cable & System to look after Bangladesh Telecom and FTTx business prior to the full. As the regional representative for LSCNS I have been involved in the following: With a very limited presence, achieved a product sales record of over USD $2 million within the 1st and 2nd years of operation. Coordinating between HQ in Korea and local clients and partners.  Acquiring new business for LSCNS, including the largest GPON based FTTx deployment in Bangladesh followed by expansion contract.  Leading the LSCNS team in deploying the largest GPON based network in Bangladesh. Working closely with the partners regarding deployment, pricing, business strategy in order to better understand the local scenario and their business model. Providing customized solution in order for the operator to achieve their business targets.

The first company to acquire the Nationwide Telecommunication Transmission Network (NTTN) license. Fiber @ Home deployed the largest GPON based Open Access Network in Bangladesh.As Project Manager of Fiber @ Home Limited, my responsibilities were:  Identifying the possible technologies which can be considered for the Last Mile Open Access Network such as GPON or GEPON.  Assisting in preparing Request for Proposal (RFP) to seek different vendor solutions for GPON/GEPON as well as involvement in vendor short listing process.  Working with Alcatel Lucent, Ericsson, Huawei, LS Cable, ZTE and other vendors to learn more about their GPON-based FTTx solutions.  Pricing strategy for GPON based solution.  Designing, planning and implementing OSP (Outside Plant) to serve 3,000-customer- based pilot project for the first GPON based open access network in Bangladesh. Actively participating in FTTH Council Asia Pacific Conference Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne, Seoul and New Delhi.  Forming the startup team to address all requirements to work out the feasibility of deploying a NTTN which includes an open access network. Preparing business model, financial model as well selecting the technologies to be implemented for the project.  Coordinating with vendors such as Alcatel Lucent, Ericsson, Huawei, LS Cable, ZTE to acquire technical solution for the NTTN.  Preparing all necessary documents in order to apply for the NTTN license as per licensing guideline.  Upon acquiring the NTTN license, focusing on GPON based FTTx access network infrastructure deployment.

Participated actively in the startup team of WorldTel Bangladesh Limited. WorldTel setup the 42 Base stations, a customer care center, a live telephone network. Evaluating hardware, software requirements of different departments. Coordinating with vendors for regular system maintenance, upgrades. Monitoring, updating WorldTel’s webpage. Setting up WorldTel’s secured Wireless LAN.

Netcom Learning is a technical training school, providing technical training to Fortune 500 companies and individuals in USA. As part of my internship I was part of the team which helped our clients on different training paths and helped them choose the right combination of training. Job duties included: Informing and educating customers about certification programs, course availability, financing options. Assembling new computers, testing network equipment, i.e. hubs, switches, wiring. Setting up and maintaining computer lab network at the training facility. Trouble shooting computers, peripherals, accessories and network connection.

Magnani Caruso Dutton is a creative interactive agency which designs websites for multinational blue chip clients including Coca Cola, AT&T, HBO, Discover Cards, Sesame Street and Tiffany & Co. I provided tech support and my duties included some of the following tasks:  Wired cables and set up computers and equipment for office expansion. Reconfigured existing set up to streamline data cabling for the entire office. Researched options for software and service solution for anti-spam software.
