Responsible for overall program planning, development, implementation, designing of Participatory Forestry & Natural Resource Management Program as well as Climate Change Adaptation & Mitigation, Livelihood Programs for PROSHIKA. Overall supervision to USAID Horticulture Project implementation at field level. Also providing technical and supervisory support for implementation of Arannayk Foundation supported Community based biodiversity conservation and regeneration project in Hill Tracts. Coordination with the government and non-government organizations, international organizations and different donors for the development of the program.

Primarily responsible for overall programme planning, management, coordination and implementation of Social Forestry Programme (tree plantation, harvesting, re-plantation) in 240 Area Development Centres (ADCs)/(Upazila based office) of PROSHIKA throughout the country. Elimination of poverty, environmental protection and regeneration, vulnerability is the focus of the program through several interventions that generates substantial income, employment, nutrition for those who participate in this Program. To keep the focus the program aims to support poorest of the poor organized group members for protecting sal forest with peoples participation and establishing good nurseries for quality planting materials, and provide them appropriate technical training for management and marketing. Overall supervision of Proshika planted roadside and block plantations harvesting, selling of trees following actual tree measurement (height, diameter) procedures and ensure proper re-plantation of those vacant land.Also responsible for program management, capacity building of staff regarding participatory social forestry programme monitoring, evaluation and development as well up to-date the program policy, implementation and monitoring strategies for Social Forestry Program i.e. Tree nurseries, Roadside and Block plantation, Bio-diversity project, Agroforestry, Homestead plantation and Natural Sal (Shorea robusta) forest Protection, Institutional Plantation for successful implementation at grassroots level.

Coordinate overall Social Forestry Project activities implemented by Forest Department. & Bangladesh Water Development Board. Advise and assist the Project Director/Project Management Committee (PMC) in general and the Forest Department in particular regarding designing, implementing, monitoring all forestry activities (roadside /embankment /foreshore/ /village/ mangrove plantations/quality planting material & nursery program development). Advise and assist the Forest Department regarding how to use the coastal zone natural resources in the most pro-people way possible. Coordinate other GoB. agencies like LGED, BWDB, DAE and NGOs for better delivery of nursery and forestry program at field level. Advice Forest Department regarding implementation of different forestry interventions, design appropriate forestry practices and also assist the Forest Department regarding usufruct rights of char dwellers involved in social forestry activities. Prepared half yearly Progress Report & Annual Work Plan for Netherlands embassy and project PD & PCs. As a member of Technical Assistance (TA) team (CDSP-III, a jointly funded project of Govt. of Netherlands & Govt. of Bangladesh) also advise Forest Department/NGOs regarding the legal agreements between the various parties their involvement in and benefits from social forestry.

Responsible for development of project tree plantation guidelines, policies, strategies and procedures including the refining the project strategies and approaches for BUILD, Integrated Food Security Program (IFSP). Organize and implement tree plantation program on fallow land in roadside. Make action research on interventions and formulate improved policies on tree plantation, bird habitat restoration and Agro-forestry and environmental activities. Maintain liaison with field offices and assist them in work planning, monitoring quality and progresses of tree plantation & Agroforestry projects, responses to field problems in all aspects of tree plantation activities and suggesting corrective solutions. Maintain data source for project activities. Use computer database and maintain liaison with project M&E and MIS for analyzing different aspects of the project data. Develop monitoring tools and formats to measure the effectiveness of project activities and prepared reports on monitoring findings, documents and provide policy feedback. Develop and implement the projects new initiatives such as building beneficiaries awareness on protecting environment, best use of land for Agro-forestry, soil erosion protection and conservation, use of mix species for plantation, crop diversification, use of organic fertilizer and no use of harmful pesticides and income generation through vegetable production. Coordinate socio-economic and base line survey for the project. Analyze field data and prepared quarterly reports for USAID, partners and CARE Bangladesh.
