I undertook two-years of legal placement at the Dubai office of Hogan Lovells, leading City firm. My job was focused around assisting the junior/ senior associates whilst also gaining valuable insight from the trainees in the office.I was able to observe structure financing deals, such as national conglomerates based in the country, seeking a $500m syndicated loan facility, underwritten by several local and International banks.Regular deals of this stature provided me with a rare insight into some of the top-end legal solutions that leading firms operate, providing multidimensional approaches. Working under strict deadlines and components through teamwork and regularly liaising with lead partners has given me valuable practical experience to expand on in my legal career.

I created Limeworks a media an apps company with the initial focus on creating quality apps for the English Premier League Football Clubs.These Apps have been downloaded by fans all over the world over 1,000,000 times - with sales especially strong in the far east market. Limeworks has been particularly responsive to the feedback and suggestions of customers and this has proven invaluable in the initial startup and success of the company.Future developments are underway with a focus on the Apple App Store, as well as future upgrades to the current applications available on the Google Play Store and BlackBerry World App Store.

I interned at Sport360, a specialist daily dedicated Sports Newspaper & website. It is the largest Sports publication in the UAE and one of the largest in the Middle East, providing invaluable insight into sports journalism at the cutting edge and enabling me to learn and participate in a professional environment. I have been able to apply and implement my learning and experience into my own website - Arsenal First. My work experience at Hogan Lovells was invaluable in providing exposure to the commercial legal environment.During my placement, I gained some valuable insight into how commercial law can safeguard corporate success.I was able to take hands-on experience in: drafting and reviewing contracts, observing legal contract negotiations and assisting a Senior Partner in drafting a presentation which was subsequently received by a large audience in London.
