-Tender for the Procurement of common use item through Frame work Agreement & Open competitive bidding in line with PPRA Rules & Guidelines.-Inspection of common use items & other materials procured by various WAPDA formations.-Preparation of bidding documents in line with notified PPRA Standard Bidding Documents-Member of tender opening & evaluation committee. -Inspection and testing of Material purchased by Pakistan Wapda Foundation for repair and maintenance of power / distribution transformers. This is a critical nature job that includes but not limited to inspection and testing of enameled copper wires, copper strips, LT and HT bushing rods, transformer oil, insulating materials like press board sheets, pan paper and LT & HT bushings etc. as per their respective IEC / British standards. Any flaw / compromise in material inspection / testing can cause damage to the power / distribution transformers resulting not only generation / revenue loss but also endangering the stability of national grid system.-Inspection and verification of survey reports of all disposable material (unwanted, scrap, obsolete, unserviceable and surplus serviceable materials) other than vehicles/heavy mobile machinery. Verification of vehicles/heavy mobile machinery is carried out by Director Transport.-To ensure correctness of all lots required to be verified by a party other than Store Owning Formation. -On site verification of quantities/measures .-Analysis of reserve price.-Carrying out Disposal Process as per WAPDA Material Disposal Procedure.-Issuance of Letter of Acceptance to successful bidder.-Issuance of Release Order to Store Owning Formation/Release Committee for lifting/handing over the material to the successful bidder.-Help stores in proper inventory management.
