Maintenance and construction of online portal to cater for registrations. Later, exporting the registrations via CSV to Excel.

A portal for a major sports event at a university. It was designed to allow participating schools to register teams and members and allow the host university to manage data and generate reports.The web application was built on Wordpress with all custom code for handling registration of teams and report generation. The application was tested with NetSpark to see if it withstood attacks.

I was appointed to work on 3 projects. Mainly, 2 of them being iOS apps and 1 was a PHP web application. The web application kept data of various companies, individuals and events, and made connections between them. The user could manipulate the data in any way he desired, and the data could be exported to Excel. Data could also be imported into the application. This required immense PHP and javascript(jQuery was used) as we wanted to optimize the application for maximum functionality. Some of the main features that were done by me were search, displaying data, creating the tables, having a details page for each entry, creating all the functions (add, delete, edit, and a lot more), and so on. The iOS applications mainly required a user-friendly UI, and to connect the application to webservices, so that data could be stored from the app to the database. I got familiar with objective-c and xcode during this time.

I worked on the admin panel, created a lot of new features that were required and redesigned some of the previous ones. New features included added comments to already existing tasks, revamp the UI for adding poster backgrounds through the admin panel, and so on(a lot of the changes were made which only ran in the background, and didn't produce any UI changes). Apart from the admin panel, I worked on the main site. AddThis (the sharing utility) was implemented on most pages. Asynchronous loading was implemented for optimal performance. A new page was made for every individual poster. Slight modifications to the UI were also done.
