As a Trainee Landscape Architect from Nov 2019 to Jan 2020, I played a pivotal role in the Tourism Planning & Development Division, contributing significantly to various projects: 🏞️ Designed the captivating Yala Wild Resort Viewing Deck, merging site visits and intricate 3D modeling. 🚓 Crafted innovative designs for the Mobile Tourist Police in Mirissa, complete with detailed drawings and stunning 3D models. 🏗️ Assisted in creating serene ponds for the Yala Wild Resort Development, showcasing spatial acumen and close collaboration with consultants. 🏢 Led the design of site offices in Yala, Kuchchaweli, and Kalpitiya, orchestrating meticulous documentation and seamless coordination with consultants. 📑 Contributed significantly to the Master Plan for Kuchchaweli, combining thorough documentation with strategic meetings with esteemed consultants. 🌐 Spearheaded the National Tourism Day 2019 event organization, meticulously preparing event layouts, handling documentation, and supervising event preparations. 📊 Developed an Action Plan for 2020, setting a clear roadmap for the dynamic initiatives within the Tourism Planning and Development Division. ♻️ Shaped sustainability by creating Terms of Reference (TOR) for the Central Sewerage Treatment Plant (CSTP) at Bentota and World Tourism Day 2019. 📈 Prepared Technical Evaluation Committee (TEC) Reports for various development projects and crafted impactful Board Papers for the Division. 🌍 Pioneered a groundbreaking Sustainable Tourism Development Project, financed by the World Bank and executed by the Ministry of Tourism and Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority. My time as a Trainee Landscape Architect was a dynamic period of professional development, honing my skills, and contributing meaningfully to landscape architecture and tourism development. These experiences have equipped me with invaluable skills to carry forward into future endeavors.
