A-Level and GCSE Biology TutorRoles included preparing materials and designing lesson plans for pupils over several weeks/months, delivering hour-long sessions where concepts are taught and dissected, communicating difficult concepts in an easy-to-understand manner and delivering lessons tailored to the individual student’s needs, and writing reports on the content covered within the lesson as well as the students’ progress.Successfully delivered over 1000 lessons, and have experience with AQA, Edexcel, OCR and Eduqas exam boards.

The research internship within the dermatology department involved developing proficiency with several wet-lab techniques such as cell culture (fibroblasts, keratinocytes, cancer cell lines), western blot, ELISA assays, RT-qPCR and cDNA synthesis. Roles included data collection through experiments for several research projects within the dermatology research department, collaborative projects between the dermatology department and oncology departments within the institute, and contributing towards academic papers. The collaborative research between the dermatology and oncology departments aimed at investigating a potential novel therapeutic agent for cutaneous T cell lymphoma. My contribution included using experimental approaches for producing results such as cell culture growth, western blot, cDNA synthesis and RT-qPCR. The results produced contributed towards a paper which is to be published (currently undergoing review) Contributed to two published reviews:'Recent advances in understanding and managing rosacea', Buddenkotte and Steinhoff (2018): Assisting in figure 1 and proofreading manuscript 'Role of neuroimmune circuits and pruritus in psoriasis', Ayasse et al. (2020): Assisting with figure 1
