I am an Educationist with a passion for using Artificial Intelligence and Data Science to solve the greatest challenges in education and society. The impact of education on society cannot be overstated as it is the engine that drives human development , equity and social justice. Belonging to a part of the world that has struggled to develop human capital has helped me to study deeply the root causes of the ills of an underdeveloped country, which invariably points to deficiency in holistic education, which is only focused on developing the academic capabilities of individuals without any meaningful emphasis on values, ethics and community building. With the advent of AI technologies these problems will only become worse until AI is incorporated in the curriculum early on and ethical use of AI taught to the young population.If done properly, AI based Educational Technology can be used to empower the dis-enfranchised by providing a low-cost alternative to traditional "brick" and "mortar" schools. Hopefully we can make AI the "great enabler" that is being an agent of providing opportunity, social justice and equity for all humanity.
