I was hired as an external auditor for 3.5 years. I served PwC's clients from being an associate to an engagement auditor. I was actively involved in the auditing of various organizations. My responsibilities at PwC were as follows:• Engagement planning based on developing an understanding of the entity and assessment of business and related audit risks; • Coordination with team manager to define the extent of planned audit procedures and to update on the progress of the engagement;• Risk assessment analysis and development of audit tests aimed at reducing audit risks, execution, and completion of various audit assignments;• Effectively managing the audit process with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues, whilst taking into account the accounting and technical matters;• Review and assessment of internal control procedures and designing and performing tests of controls for specific areas in consultation with the engagement manager;• Performing substantive audit procedures in line with ISAs, IFRS, and PwC Global Audit Methodology and drawing conclusions, highlighting any significant matters/ issues;• Being accountable to the engagement manager for the day-to-day audit work and ensuring that all field work is on schedule and completed as planned.;• Identifying areas requiring improvement in the clients’ business processes and possible recommendations and preparing a draft ML for the review of the engagement manager;• Provide coaching and training to junior staff through sharing experience and knowledge whilst ensuring to contribute towards effective team work; and• Knowledge of local corporate and tax laws, and experience in ensuring compliance of these laws at various engagements.• Basic knowledge of financial budgeting and forecasting and hands-on experience in the analytical review of FS.• Reviewing management & statutory accounts and drafting audit reports and cover letter.
