Compliance (40%) - Regulationso Lead and be accountable for the regulatory compliance of the Malaysia business.o Create approval process for Approvals of Pack Labels, Point of Sales Materials and materials with health and nutrition messages, as well as contribute to the refinement of excellence of cross-functional internal processed.o Effectively track regulatory developments, inform key stakeholders internally and externally, and implement new regulations.Innovation Facilitation (30%)o Work with R&D team and provide regulatory insight to the business to ensure innovation strategies take account of regulatory developments and vice versa; provide input to innovation agenda to the advantage of the business.o Build case, prepare scientific dossiers as appropriate, meeting local regulatory requirements to obtain approvals for novel ingredients.External Affairs (30%)o Work with cross functional teams to build credibility for the company through various projects and engage with stakeholders to communicate science.o Represent the company on technical committee and industry association to drive and deliver company’s agenda and positions. o Develop, maintain and enhance the positive relationships with regulators.o Engage Ministry of Health and work with trade association to achieve a more proportionate regulator response to incidence.o Product and ingredient defence (e.g. validity of claims, safety of ingredients).

• Represent the company as a spoke person on nutrition through the media – TV, newspapers and public forum. • Approves nutrition labeling and nutrition messages on all labels and consumer/medical communication materials (for ANMUM and ANLENE)• Help to compile scientific evidence as a support for claims on the new products. • • Help to analyse and monitor new Nutrition Information Panel, Claims and Label of the new products and ensure that it comply with the regulations. • • Responsible for advising and development of nutrition and health messages used on all communications, including labelling, POSM, TVCs, booklets, newsletter.• Acts as the first point of contact in handling difficult nutrition and product enquiries forwarded by marketers and consumers, e.g. Handles Malay/English speaking consumer that call in/write in; proof reading and checking of English/Malay translation. E.g. Monthly report of consumer call in/write in, and translation report by brand.• Plan and implement nutrition training to the medical team
