Being CFO (business finance partner) for a portfolio of ~$1.5 billion tech expenses with more than 2,000 tech resources, my role includes: Managing a team of 10 finance professionals and closely partnering with technology business and other support teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and forward-looking decision making. Financial advisory to technology business relating to accounting treatment, funding, cost / benefit analysis, long term contracts, business restructurings etc.  Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecast process and monthly management performance reviews with the leadership team. Identification and analysis of financial risk and opportunities and advising technology leaders on a monthly basis based on current burn rates and outlook of future business demand. Designing operational metrices to be implemented and tracked so the work delivery is aligned with fiscal targets.  Maintaining allocations of technology spend to business segments and monthly reviews with Segment CFOs. Analyzing head count trends (~2,000 tech resources) and resource mix to identify gaps between demand and supply.

Provide financial advisory in respect of programmes run by Department of Health & Wellness, Government of Nova Scotia. The role includes critically analysing financial impacts of various programmes, budgeting and forecasting the funding requirements, review of business cases, monitor the allocated cost centres and assist the delivery teams in achieving the departments targets in line with the plans and budget of the province.The Province runs more than $4.3 billion of total funding budget for Health & Wellness initiatives and my portfolio represent initiatives / programmes totalling ~ $200 million per annum.
