• Joined the NLP & Semantic Reasoning group and worked on a unified system for linking named entities to general-domain (Wikipedia) and domain-specific knowledge bases (KBs), using context-aware embeddings (BERT) to.
• Optimized a state-of-the-art model for cross-domain applications, supporting domain extension and identifying optimal data sources for fine-tuning, and improved GPU memory utilization for efficient embedding.
• Achieved a 9% increase in Average Precision for the top-1 entity and a 20% gain in Mean Average Precision (MAP) for top-10 entity linking across four domain-specific KBs, resulting in a workshop publication at ACL 2022.

• Contributed to the evaluation of the QA model, and implemented a model to detect fair dialogues using ensemble methods of decision trees.
• Helped to show quantitatively that 69.2% of the dialogues by the QA model are perceived as fair, and reported the results in a draft paper.

• Studied the topic of Reliable Fog Cloud Computing using Smart Cars as Edge Nodes, and focused on the Machine Learning part involved.

• Worked on how to achieve work-life balance using human-computer interaction. Target user was the gardener.
• Interviews are made with them to collect data about their life, then this data is analyzed to gain some insights about their needs, and put hands on the idea to be worked on later.
• In Implementation phase, a simple prototype is made of a voice sender and receiver within WIFI range to describe the idea.
• There was an open day on which we made a small presentation and a poster in front of the dean of Alexandria university along with professors & other faculty stuff members.
