The Public Services Regulatory Body created the subsidy in November 2008, in benefit of businesses and damage of consumers.• Stolen Memory: is a multimedia, data investigation about the cultural heritage trafficking in Latin America. It was the first transnational project that used databases to picture and reveal this organized crime. In Costa Rica, we revealed how a network of local art dealers sold precious historical pieces in exchange of thousands of dollars.• Narco-seizures: is an investigation that reveals which is the final destination of the drug shipments that pass through Costa Rica and leave to other places by sea, land or air. In addition, it describes the mechanisms used by drug dealers to smuggle the drug and the effects this illicit business has for different sectors in the country and Costa Rica’s international image.
